Wine cellar of Vieil Armand

A place for tasting wine and discovering the wine-producer's profession.

A few kilometres from Cernay, La Cave du Vieil Armand wine cellar in Soultz-Wuenheim offers visits and tastings. Its wine-growing museum, a fantastic exhibition space, shows the full range of agricultural and wine-making equipment from the past, used in the vineyards or in the cellar. An educational plot has been created beside the cellar with all of the Alsace grape varieties. You can extend your visit by taking the wine-growers route, starting off from the cellar carpark, and marked by several explanatory signs, it offers superb views over the Alsace plain and the Hartmannswillerkopf peak (there are guided visits of the wine-growers path during the summer season). This path, accessible to all because of its low altitude difference, was dreamed up and created by local wine producers.
