An original idea: to evoke your childhood memories, the old town hall (Maire de la ville) that designed mangers for the primary schools, has decided to create a manger circuit representing scenes of traditional Alsace life during the holiday season.
It built its first manger in the 90s, showing children on a farm: it's the "children's manger" (crèche des enfants). Since then a new manger has been made each year: such as the Manger of Hope, the Crushed Manger, and A Christmas Evening in Alsace.
The scenes consist of hand-sculpted wooden characters lit up by the technical services of Masevaux town council.
In Masevaux, the route of the mangers links the town's Christmas lights with the discovery of the enchanted circuit.
A magical one-hour walk in Masevaux to discover all the mangers.
Each with a different theme, from tales and legends.
Every year from 25 November to 6 January, all day long (even more magical at nighttime!)
