Guewenheim's Potter's Market (Marché des Potiers) showcases the skills and products of around fifty ceramicists from all over France, Belgium and Switzerland. This event takes place at the end of August each year in Guewenheim. It has become an unmissable event in the Doller valley, organised by Guewenheim's Petits Chanteurs choir group for the last 12 years.
A new theme is agreed each year for which the exhibitors create special pieces. The whole market revolves around this theme, from the decoration of the stands to the appearance of the market in general.
Various activities liven up the market. pot throwing and sculpting demonstrations, Raku firing, wood-oven firing and a children's workshop.
The highlight of the market is the Raku sound and light show, organised by the Petits Chanteurs choir group of Guewenheim at nightfall on Friday and Saturday evening.
