In the Vosges

The Vosges offer you a whole host of activities for all four seasons!

The 2nd most wooded area in France, the Vosges offer highly-developed nature tourism: walks and hikes, winter sports and other leisure activities. There are many thermal spa resorts on the Vosges plain (Contrexeville, Vittel for example) as well as memorial sites of past conflicts (American cemetery of Epinal, la forteresse de Châtel-sur-Moselle) or even extraordinary places such as the house where Joan of Arc was born and the miraculous chapel of Mirecourt. Do not hesitate to return to Epinal to visit Le Musée de l’Imagerie (image printing museum) or its traditional and modern art museum (Musee Departemental D'Art Ancien et Contemporain).
Close to Hautes Vosges d’Alsace, you can visit La Bresse, the biggest winter resort in Eastern France, Gérardmer, "the Pearl" of the Vosges with its lake and famous festivities (the daffodil festival and fantastic film festival) or even pass through Bussang with its famous Théâtre du Peuple (People Theatre) and casino.
